Tell us a little bit about you, your background, education, and accolades.
I have coached CrossFit for several years at various CrossFit gyms around Rochester. My decision to become a CrossFit Coach and personal trainer stemmed from my desire to help people. I’ve always wanted to be able to help others achieve something they never thought possible or would have never done on their own.
Outside of the gym, I enjoy anything that has to do with the outdoors - hiking, SUPing, and going to breweries with friends.
What brought you to NOVA Fitness?
I joined NOVA because I was not reaching the goals I had set for myself just using my garage gym. I needed a community to help hold me accountable and bring fun back into my workouts. After doing a few drop in workouts the vibe (we all know some gyms just don't feel right and we don't know why) of NOVA felt right to me and I joined.
What has been your most memorable moment at NOVA Fitness so far?
At the in house competition we had, I Cleaned and Squatted more weight than I had in a very long time.
What is one way CrossFit has positively impacted your daily life?
Crossfit gives me an outlet and something to look forward to every day after work. It makes most of the stressors of the day melt away and puts me in a better mood.
What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit?
We are all here to get our sweat on and work on being the best version of ourselves no matter what stage we are in so don't be shy. We have all been there so say “Hi” and feel free to talk to anyone. If not, feel free to talk to me then. Haha.
